Bathing Suits For Your Beach-Ready Body

Alright my ladies... it's that time of year again. Yes, that's right. It's the time of year that we're all about to see "Get your body bikini ready!" and "10 Easy Workouts For a Beach Body!" articles all over magazines and the internet. I'm gonna tell you all something real quick. If you go to the beach and want to wear a bikini, and you have a body.... voila! You have a bikini-ready, beach-ready body!
I'm loving how more and more companies are releasing cuter and cuter bathing suits for plus size folks! No longer do we have to hide behind bathing suits that look like a dress or aim to cover up most of our body! We can actually wear bikinis that flatter our body and have cute, summery patterns on them! We can lounge by the pool in a bright one piece that's fitted to our curves and make us feel like Marilyn Monroe.
Similar to many fashion fans, I'm super duper excited for all of the new bathing suits being released by all of our favorite brands! I'm trying to hold myself back from buying too many new suits, because who needs drawers full of bathing suits? Really? But I thought I would share with you all some of my favorite finds and feature some brands that are offering some super cute bathing suits for our curvy bodies!
Torrid
Taking a peek through Torrid's site, the first thing I notice is that the prices of these suits are a little higher than I would prefer. I hope this speaks to the fact that these will be good quality and will fit well. Torrid offers a variety of different shapes and patterns of suits, which allows for all different ages, styles, and preferences to find a suit they're happy with. Here are some of my favorites!:

The first suit that caught my eye was this bright, floral two piece! Both of the items together are $103 and are offered up to size 6! I love the cutouts and how much the suit covers the stomach, but still shows off curves!

This next two piece has a tankini top, high waisted bottoms, and subtle skull print. I love the 50's vibe this suit brings, but the skulls (which look like polka dots from a distance) bring a modern and edgy twist! The combination of the high-waisted bottoms and the tankini top will offer lots of control in the stomach area which I know is a concern for a lot of us curvy folks!

This bathing suit is probably my favorite of the current Torrid suits! I love the combination of the striped pattern with the floral! I love the cut of the top. I love how strategically the patterns were placed! I love everything about this! So trendy and flattering!

My last pick from Torrid is a one piece suit that gives the appearance of being a two piece! I love the mesh panels and the sweetheart cut of the top! I also love that this suit is white as it will make your skin look more tanned!
Target
Switching gears to a more affordable range- Target offers tons of options for curvier bodies! Again, the line is very conscious of all of the varying preferences the buyers will have. Meaning, there are options in the line that both me, a friend, and my mom would find something we like!

The first piece I loved reminds me a lot of my favorite two piece I chose from Torrid! It has the same concept of the stripes and floral pattern. I love that it comes either strapless or with straps if you need the support! And this suit is only $29!

Target seems to be knocking it out of the park with their one pieces! I love how unique this pattern is and I love the black belt that goes around the suit, flatteringly breaking up the one piece at the waist! This comes with optional straps as well! Obsessed!

This bright yellow suit caught my eye as I was scrolling through the Target website! I love the bandeau style top (that has optional straps, of course!) and the matching bottoms! Such a free spirit look! And I bet you could wear that top in a non-beach outfit!

Next up is this super cool black patterned two piece! I love the top and how fluttery and unique it is! That style would be perfect for people who have smaller tops than bottoms (like me!)- it will balance out your shape a bit! These pieces could also easily be mixed and matched!

I wanted to feature this last suit because it showcases one of the sporty bathing suits Target offers! I love that they made sure to include sporty style in a plus size range!
Forever 21+
Since I worked for Forever 21 for about 4-5 years, I do have a personal biased to the brand. Luckily, their plus clothes happen to fit my body perfectly. In my mind, Forever 21 is the leading brand in terms of trendy, young, affordable plus-size fashion. They were one of the first brands that me and all my friends shop at that actually offered bathing suits that would fit me! Every year I look forward to their new line of bathing suits, and this year has not disappointed so far!

How ADORABLE is this banana printed bikini?! I absolutely love this pattern and need to run out to my nearest Forever 21 to grab this suit up ASAP! The top has wiring to support our larger chested ladies which is hard to find in bathing suits!

This suit reminds me a tiny bit of the mom suits with the full skirt that we were all forced to wear before the world realized that a lot of us curvy ladies didn't really want to wear them! This is like the updated version of it that has a small, peplum-like skirt and adorable halter top! I'm loving all of the yellow suits that seem to be popping up everywhere this year!

This suit caught my eye because of how unique it was! F21 describes it as a layered bikini and I have to say I haven't seen a suit like this! (At least in any plus size range!) If you want to stand out by the water, I would for sure grab this suit! Love the hints of bright pink mixed with the black!
Swimsuits For All
I have to say, this website is seriously overwhelming to dig through. It is true to its name, though, and does seem to have swimsuits in TONS of sizes! A lot of the suits are modeled by gorgeous Ashley Graham, who I would honestly buy anything from if she told me to.

This first suit here, modeled by Ashley, is a nice classic bikini that is offered in plus size! The site has it in black as well, but I prefer the white as it makes you look tanner! Love how much the bottoms cover your butt and that although this is a classic suit, it was definitely made with a curvier body in mind!

I love this one piece! It has a wire for support and the cut of the pattern helps show off your hourglass shape!

Talk about classic! Am I the only one that has always wanted to own a yellow polka dot bikini? I love the bottoms and how they are high-waisted, but not too high waisted! Also love the optional halter top... of all the suits from this site, this is the one I would most likely purchase! (And again with the yellow theme!)

This suit is from queen Gabi Fresh's line! I love the cut at the hip that appears to be cut very high, but has the mesh pieces that will hold anything in! Gabi's line also accounts for those with higher cup sizes so if you've been struggling to find a suit to support your top make sure to check out her line! I love this suit and feel like I could see Khloe Kardashian sporting this!
